Hi, I’m Kim Smith, founder of Chasing The Wild.
After spending more than 14 years in veterinary medicine, including four years in holistic practice, I realized that many behavior challenges aren’t solved through training alone. Dogs need adventure, fulfillment, clear communication, and opportunities to express their natural instincts.
That’s why I created Chasing The Wild.
Today, I help dogs and their humans build stronger relationships through adventure-based training, behavior rehabilitation, and real-world experiences on our private Iowa property.
My goal isn’t just to teach commands—it’s to help dogs become more confident, capable, and fulfilled companions.
Because when dogs get what they need, everything changes.
